SDCard Upgrade Instruction

. Precondition:
1. The power of battery should not less than 15%, The upgrade will not be triggered if this
condition is not meet.
2. The upgrade package must be put in the dload directory in the root directory of SD
card, The name must be specified as UPDATE.zip, which is case insensitive.
3. The free space of SD card should not less than 512M(Byte), SD card is available no matter
it is formatted or not

. SD Card Upgrade
Enter EngineerModePress key Power first ,then press volume uphold these two keys until the
screen is lightedloose keys, phone will enter recovery mode after about 5 seconds. There is a
simple method to check if the phone could enter engineer mode right, if the vibrator is not
running when the screen is lighted, it indicate you can enter recovery mode, or if the vibrator is
working, you may need take the battery out and repeat the previous steps. The picture showed
as following indicate your operation is right, the phone will enter right mode.

Press volume down to move cursor on apply update from external storage,
Press key power to upgrade

There will be some log print on the screen, first it will check if the UPDATE.zip is found, if there is
no UPDATE.zip in the specified directory, the upgrade will not go ahead to the next step.
There will be print string like Install from sdcard complete to indicate upgrade is completethen
press reboot system now as illustration to reboot system.
The phone will reboot successfully.
