Under Voltage & Over Voltage Relay Testing is an advanced practical training in high
voltage protection engineering used for devices, transmission lines, cables and network
sections in power system protection lab. Relay is an electromagnetic switch used to protect
the power distribution equipment against continuous voltage spikes that are detrimental to
motors, ballasts, etc. This relay testing system is designed for practical experience to control,
monitor and analysis of particular relay settings and tripping characteristics. This experiment
set-up provides detailed presentation of power transmission system which helps the students to
perform different types of experiments.
