 BIOGRAPHICAL DATA

Francis S. Calubayan is a third year student studying Bachelor of

Secondary Education Major in English at the Cavite State University Imus

Campus. He is a consistent academic scholar since first year college. He

graduated at Imus National High School Main as a first honorable mention in

his section when he was fourth year and third year, Top 2 in class when he was

second Year. He a consistent Top eight on his elementary days. He likes to study

but not that hard because for him, the essence of studying hard will not serve its

purpose if you will not enjoy it. For him, becoming a teacher is not just by

profession for it is a vocation because you need to use your heart also not just

the intelligence as always. He has this very inspiring quote came from his former

professor last semester school year 2015- 2016, In teaching, Intelligence is just

secondary, what matters most is the heart full on passion to make a difference in

every circumstances that he might face in the world of teaching.

Eunice Rose Belmonte dela Pena was born in Bacoor, Cavite on July 3,

1998 to Rommel dela Pena and Eva Belmonte.

Eunice spent her elementary schooling at Pagasa Elementary School in

Caloocan City and later at Palauig Central School in Zambales where she

graduated in 2010. On the other hand, she attended her secondary education at

Muzon High School in Bulacan.

At present, Eunice pursues a bachelor degree in Secondary Education at

Cavite State University in Imus City, Cavite.

 Cherry-Ann D. Dulay is a 19 years old student taking up Bachelor of

Secondary Education Major in English at Cavite State University- Imus Campus.

Her dream is to become successful so she can help her mother and her siblings

and also to inspire and educate her students well. She was the valedictorian of

their batch when she was in Elementary. In high school, she didn't receive any

award because she was a transferee from other school. And now she is in her

college days, despite of her failures and disappointments, she's working and

striving hard for her future. Her passion and dedication motivates her to finish her

studies and to succeed. Her personal motto in life is Today is sacrifice,

Tomorrow is paradise.

Irish Jane C. Felecia is a third year irregular student who is taking up

Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. In her elementary days, she

graduated as Salutatorian at Pasi Elementary School in Socorro Oriental

Mindoro. In her high school days, she was included in Special Science Class

from first year to fourth year and graduated with a leadership award at Aurelio

Arago Memorial National High School in Victoria Oriental Mindoro.

Judimar Agapito Vicencio is 19 years of age and was born on the 8 th of

December 1996. She is the third daughter of Zenaida Vicencio and Oscar

Vicencio. In her primary schooling she studied Crossroads Christian Academy

where she graduated as a valedictorian. In her secondary schooling, she studied

in Bacoor National High School. In her college, she took up Bachelor of

Secondary Education-English in Cavite State University- Imus Campus. But her

first choice is Nursing or RadTech. Financial constraints hinder her from pursuing

the career. She is a varsity player since high school. She loves sport, specifically,

table tennis.

Being in the journey of the said program is a privilege for her to continue

studying than to stop. God has a plan for everything. She may not understand it

but she trusts His plan.

Annielyn T. Ramos is a 40 year old mother of four children, who is

presently working at the office of local housing board / fihai at Imus City Hall. She

finished her primary course at Paluan Elementary School and her secondary

course at Paluan National High School, Paluan Occidental Mindoro. Because of

her dedication to pursue a college degree, she enrolled at Cavite State University

taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English.

 ABSTRACT

FRANCIS CALUBAYAN, Employment Factors and Loan Practices of

Selected Public Secondary Schools Teachers in the City Schools Division
of Bacoor. Research Paper. Bachelor of Secondary Education major in
English. Cavite State University, Imus Campus, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Ms.

This study is specifically concerned with the employment factors and loan

practices of selected public secondary school teachers in the City Schools

Division of Bacoor. This study has two major purposes: (1) to determine the

aspects that motivate the public secondary school teachers to engage in loan

practices (2) to identify the issues met by the public secondary school teachers in

receiving their salary and benefits. The study was conducted in the Philippines at

the City Schools Division of Bacoor, Bacoor City, Cavite. Two hundred teachers

served as subjects in this study to gathered data that can be useful in this

endeavor. A questionnaire was distributed to the teachers responsible for this

study. Respondents filled in a form / indicated their preferences and rated each

item accordingly. Responses were made on a 5-point Likert scales ranging from

strongly agree down to strongly disagree. Fortunately, all 200 participants

participated in this study that makes the researchers reach their quota.

On the basis of the results of this research, it can be concluded that the

major aspect that motivated the public secondary school teachers in the Division

of City of Bacoor was to support the education of their children / siblings which

corresponds to 192 teachers or 96% of the respondents. The results also

revealed that the major issues met by the public secondary school teachers in

the division city of Bacoor in receiving their salary and benefits was that their

salaries barely sustain the expenses of the family, which even forced them to

take loans which corresponds to 181 teachers or 90.50% of the total

respondents.

Furthermore, the researchers recommended that the Department of

Education should implement a salary increase that will barely sustain the

expenses of the family. The government should also be responsible in fostering

quality education, and also education for all that every Filipino can afford. Lastly,

The government must prioritized and allot high budget to education as reflected

to Article XIV, Section 5, 1987 Philippine Constitution which states that The state

shall assign the highest budgetary priority to education and ensure that teaching

will attract and retain the rightful share of the best available talents through

adequate remuneration and other means of satisfaction and fulfillment

patience, and wisdom to be able to accomplish this given task. Without Him, the
