13. WORKERS WELFARE FACILITIES
13.a Adequate supply of safe drinking water

16. EXCAVATION SAFETY


16. a Submission of shoring/timbering plan designed
by a structural engineer and approved by OBO for
excavation over 6.6 m (20ft.) deep and those installed
to prevent the movement, collapse of an adjacent
structure.

16 b. Excavated material are kept from the edge of the


excavation to provide a clear berm of a distance not
less than 1/3 of the depth of the excavation or a width
of not less than 1 m. may be allowed provided that
barriers are provided to prevent roll back of the
excavated materials.

16. c No vehicle or other machinery are driven,
operated or located near the edge of an excavation at
least a distance 1/3 of its depth.

16.d. Provision of barricade to a height of at least 1 m.


on top of the walls of an excavation more than 2m deep
to prevent the fall of workers.

16 d. Provision of at least one ladder in every 16.6 m.


of length which shall extend at least .83 m. above the
top of the excavation to provide a firm handhold when
stepping on or off the ladder.

16 e. Provision of warning lights


17. SCAFFOLDINGS

scaffolding prepared by a structural engineer and duly
