Richmond Park Ladies
On 12th June the Ladies of Richmond
Park Golf Club played their annual
event for the Curtis Cup, an 18 hole
Stableford competition. This trophy was
donated to the Ladies Section some
years ago by a previous member and
Lady Captain, Mabel Curtis.
Conditions on the day were difficult as
the weather was bright but blustery and
some competitors struggled with the
windy conditions. However not
everyone was affected as was proven by
some very good scores.
Winner of the Curtis Cup, with a
magnificent total of 39 points, was
Claire Carney. In 2nd place, with 34
points, was Julie Ellis and in 3rd place
was Margaret Broadbent with 31 points.
