The cooperating teacher, student, and supervisor all complete this Assessment of Professional Dispositions at the end of the experience. There should be
comments entered for all items. This appraisal will help the ECE I partment determine if the student is ready to progress to student teaching or final internship.

Comments: Julia consistently has initiated activities and lessons.
7. Uses appropriate communication skills with children (e.g., giving directions, asking various types of questions, using an appropriate 3
tone of voice), and reflects on how children respond.
Comments: Asks excellent leading questions. Directions are given slowly and are very clear.
8. Acts in a mature and professional manner in all interactions with all colleagues (e.g., cooperating teacher, supervisor, assistants) and 3
parents.

Comments: She consistently is strong in this area.

Comments: Her written work is descriptive and easy to read.
11. Submits all required work (e.g., lesson plans, reflective journals, anecdotal data, assessment forms) in a timely 3
fashion and of professional quality, as agreed upon with the cooperating teacher and/or supervisor.

Comments: Her lessons are well planned, organized and complete.
13. Implements lessons that engage the children and are appropriate for the ages, abilities, and classroom context. 3
Comments: Julia has an excellent understanding of what is developmentally appropriate for children ages 3-5.
14. Implements appropriate assessments, (e.g., anecdotal data, observations, checklists, rating scales), including pre- 3
assessments, and analyzes the data from those assessments.
Comments: Julia has done an excellent job in this area.
15. Reflects on the lesson plan, children's engagement, assessment tools, and data to make decisions about how to make 3
changes to teaching so that it will impact student learning.
Comments: Her lesson reflections not only commented on her lesson but she raised questions for future learning and how certain things
could be done differently.
16. Demonstrates openness and responsiveness to feedback (e.g., cooperating teacher, supervisor, seminar leader, colleagues). 3
Comments: tfJulia questioned how she could integrate an idea for her lesson, but wasn't exactly sure how to do so, she turned to
resources and/or asked her cooperating teacher or supervisor for ideas.
18. Shows high motivation and takes responsibility for learning by identifying resources required to enhance all aspects of 3
teaching and learning (e.g., developmental guidelines, lesson planning, specific program philosophy, and consultation with
colleagues and other professionals)
Comments: This is a very strong area for Julia.
