THE INFLUENCE OF GIVING FE TABLET TO ANEMIA FEMALE STUDENTS OF


SMU NEGERI 14 RAJEG TANGERANG 2016

ABSTRACT
The prevalence of anemia teenage girls in Indonesia is 20-40%. In Banten Province is
19,3%, Tangerang district in 2015 is 48,4%. In Rajeg sub-district is 40%. The purpose of this
research is to study and explain about the influence of giving Fe that supervised and
unsupervised in anemia female students of SMU Negeri 14 Rajeg Tangerang.
The research design is quasi experimental design with one group pre-posttest design. The
population of this research is 356 female students in all grade of SMU N 14 Rajeg Tangerang.
The sample is taken after the result of screening. Anemia female students is divided in 3 groups
which consist of 30 students were given Fe, 30 students were given Fe + with supervision and 30
students were not given anything. The data analysis used frequency test, t test and 2 mean
different test.
The result of screening anemia from 356 female students is there are 90 (25,3%) female
students who are anemic. After the intervention, the student acquired anemia in group I
decreased 23,3% with 2 different score mean 0,523, in group II 46,7% with 2 different score
mean 1,157, in group III 3,3%, with 2 different score mean 0,307.
The result of the research, the writer concluded that female students were given Fe + with
supervision had decreased of anemia. Because of that for the health workers in giving Fe tablet
program to adolescent should supervise it with giving the knowledge to the teachers and parents
about how to give Fe and the danger of anemia.
