Synopsis of Module
This module aims to provide an introduction to model based control system design.
That is, how to DESIGN CONTROL SYSTEM using mathematical modelling of
mechanical systems, electric circuits and electromechanical systems. This
enable students to model any engineering system which can be translated into
mathematical form. Thereafter, analysis of a model is carried out to evaluate its
performance based on transient response, steady-state response and stability
criteria. Compensation are covered to improve and optimize a model.
