The citizenship application form for adult may take you approximately 30 minutes to complete.
You will need the relevant documents listed below to complete the citizenship application form.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED UNDER ARTICLE 123 (1) & 123(2) OF THE
CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE

Please tick () box on the correct application type when applying for Singapore citizenship and produce
all the following relevant documents in support of your application. (Original and a photocopy each).
Official translations are required if they are not in English. Additional documents may be
required while processing your application, whenever necessary.

Applicant and Spouses (Wife and Husband) Documents

(If married, spouse's documents are still required even if he/she is not applying)
1) Affix (1) recent passport-sized colour photograph of applicant on the completed citizenship
application form. The photograph must be:

35 mm wide by 45 mm high without border and taken within the last three months;

taken full face without headgear, unless the applicant habitually wears a headgear in
accordance with religious or racial customs. The headgear must not hide the applicant's
facial features;

the facial image must be between 25 mm and 35 mm from chin to crown; and taken against
plain white background with a matt or semi-matt finish;

Photographs can be taken at the photo booths located at level 1 of ICA Building.
2) Identity Card and Birth Certificate.

3) Marriage Certificate; Divorce Certificate; Separation Deed.

4) Passport, Entry Permit Card and other travel document (if any).

5) Educational Certificates and Skill Certificates.

6) Latest letter of employment from current employer stating occupation, date of employment,
basic and gross salary per month.

7) Latest 6 months payslips.

8) Authorisation form for ICA to obtain and verify financial information with the Inland Revenue
Authority of Singapore/Central Provident Fund Board. (Please complete Appendix SC
attached) (However, if you do not wish to give consent for the former, you will need to furnish
us with your Income tax notice of assessment for latest 3 years and CPF contribution history for
latest 6 months, preceding the date of this application)

9) Latest Computer Information on Business Profile from Accounting & Corporate Regulatory
Authority (ACRA), latest balance sheet/profit and loss account if you are a sole
proprietor/partner/Director of a company.

10) Death Certificate of ex-spouse, proof of child/childrens custody from previous marriage, if
applicable.

 11) Deed Poll or Religious Certificate for change of name (if any).

12) Birth Certificate(s) and Passport/travel document of child/children.

13) Entry Permit and Identity Card of child/children (if any).

14) Foreign Citizenship Certificate and Foreign Identity Card, if any.

15) National Service Certificate of Service (if any).

Important Note

i) An applicant is eligible to apply for Singapore citizenship if he/she has resided continuously in
Singapore as a permanent resident for at least 2 years immediately prior to the date of
application.

ii) Please ensure that the application form is duly completed. Arrangement will be made for the
applicant to submit the formal application when he/she is assessed to be eligible for Singapore
citizenship after the preliminary assessment interview.

iii) The declaration portion of the citizenship application form will be made at ICA office at the
end of the interview. All information contained in application form must be complete, accurate
and verifiable. False particulars/concealment of material facts will render you liable to
disqualification for citizenship application or prosecution in court.

iv) Application by post will not be accepted. Separate application form must be completed if
the applicant wishes to apply for spouse and child/children.

v) For application under spouses sponsorship, both applicant and spouse must be present for the
interview. The applicant has to fulfil a minimum of 2-year permanent residence (PR) and
married for at least 2 years.

vi) Applicants may enquire the status of their citizenship application online via iEnquiry. For more
information, please visit https://ienquiry.ica.gov.sg.

Fees: Please make the following payments by or

a) S$100/- for processing the application (non-refundable).

b) S$70/- for issuance of citizenship certificate, if the application is approved.

Government agencies (or non-Government entities which have been authorised to carry out specific Government services) to process any applications you
have made or to render you a service, so as to serve you in a most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation.

AUTHORISATION TO OBTAIN AND VERIFY FINANCIAL

INFORMATION PROVIDED FOR APPLICATION OF SINGAPORE
CITIZENSHIP

Please complete this form to give your consent for the Immigration &
Checkpoints Authority to obtain and verify financial information, including
any information relating to the income or items of income, provided in
respect of this application for the grant of Singapore Citizenship with the
Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore/ Central Provident Fund Board.

We consent and authorise the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority to

obtain information and verify the financial information provided by me in
respect of this application from or with the Inland Revenue Authority of
Singapore/Central Provident Fund Board, and for them to disclose the
information for the purpose of assessment of this application for the grant
of Singapore Citizenship.
