thickness of non-centrifugal casting ductile iron pipe and fittings is 7 mm; the tolerance on thickness for

1.8.2.4 Polyethylene sleeve
Product description:
PE sleeve is the Polyethylene or a mixture of polyethylene and/or ethylene and olefin copolymers sleeve (film)
with thickness of 0.2mm that is wrapped on external walls of the pipe on the construction site. It can prevent
direct contact between cast iron pipes and the soil. Meanwhile, it also prevents underground moisture from
corroding the pipelines. It is used to supplement the basic pipe coating (metalic Znic + HCPE finishing layer)
in certain case of highly corrosive soils or in the presence of stray current.

Anti-corrosion mechanism
The anti-corrosion mechanisms for PE sleeve (film) wrapped outside zinc coating are as following:

3.3 Storage
3.3.2.1 Ductile iron pipes can be stacked in two patterns, i.e. the square and pyramidal form.
3.3.2.2 The square stack pattern is shown as Figure 3. The planks are placed under the bottom layer and
fixed with wooden wedges. In each layer of ductile iron pipe, the spigots and socket ends shall be arranged
alternately. For ductile iron pipes in adjacent layers, spigots and socket ends shall also be alternately, and
the upper layer shall be perpendicular to the lower layer. The width of each layer shall not exceed 5.5m.
3.3.2.3 Pyramid" stack pattern is shown as Figure 4. The bottom layer of ductile iron pipes is placed on two
rows of parallel planks with distance of about 1,000mm to each pipe ends; the planks are fixed with wedges.

(4) Cleaning the joint parts for the pipe spigot and socket
Clean the joint parts of the pipe spigot and socket before the pipe laying, especially for location to place
gasket, where dust, sand, stones and other substances are not allowed.

(2) Joint connection
While connecting, firstly align the socket and the spigot of two pipes, then slowly push the
spigot into the socket, and insert it between the two spigot lines, as shown in the Figure7.
Stop the installation immediately if too much resistance is found during inserting the ductile
iron pipe. Pull out the pipe and check location of the gasket, the socket and the spigot of the
pipe, identify the causes and handle them properly before re-installation.
Note: Mark the spigot line clearly before installation while installing the sawed ductile iron
pipe.

Different tools can be used to install in view of specifications of ductile iron pipes:
Simple tools, like crowbar can be used for the pipes below DN150. Hardwood must be
used to protect between the crowbar and the socket surface (see Figure 8);
Tools like steel cable and guide chain can be used for installation of pipes above DN200
(the contact between the steel cable or guide chain and pipes shall be protected by a flexible

D. except for the material properties, its protective effect mainly depend on the installation quality.

In order to prevent large hard objects from damaging PE sleeve during backfilling, the grassy meadow
can be put on top of the pipe or sand, loam or soil without stones and other hard objects can be used for
backfilling. It is preferential to forbid from walking on the completed pipes, so as to avoid damage to the PE
sleeve.
For fittings such as tees and crosses, as required by the pipe shapes, it is necessary to cut off the PE
sleeve or directly wrap PE sheet arround the entire pipe and then stick the joints of PE sleeve with the
adhesive tape.

7.1.6 Rubber flap check valve
Check valve is mainly used for exit of pipeline pump for water supply and drainage system, petroleum,
chemical industry and other industrial fields, aiming to prevent the backflow of transmitted medium.
Since the product sealing adopts inclined design, closing time is shorter, can reduce the pressure of water
hammer. Valve clack is made through high-temperature pressing of butyronitrile oil resistant rubber and
steel plate; washing-out resistance, good sealing performance, simple product structure; maintenance,
repair and transportation are convenient.

Selected valve type: Select the type according to use requirements (select the butterfly valve for
regulation, select the ball valve or gate valve for the switch);
Select the valve pressure grade; Select the valve pressure grade according to pipeline design
pressure. (PN10 PN16 PN25 PN40);
Select the valve diameter;
Select the temperature range Operating temperature of medium determines the valve sealing type;
selecting good temperature grade can postpone the service life of valve;
Select the valve material: Select according to medium condition, whether determine the valve material TAKE XINXING,
according to corrosivity;
Select the valve sealing type: Rubber sealing, fluorine rubber sealing, graphite sealing, hard alloy TAKE THE WORLD
