STRONGPILOT EFB Application Product Description

Our EFB solutions are designed to:

Optimize your aircraft operation

Significantly reduce your operating costs
Enhance the quality of your operations

EFB is electronic information management software that helps flight crews perform flight management
tasks more easily and efficiently, in a less-paper environment.

EFB software can calculate a variety of aviation data or perform calculations (e.g., Takeoff performance,
Landing performance, Weight and Balance calculations, etc.).

EFBs can electronically store and retrieve documents required for flight operations, such as the General
Operations Manual (GOM), Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL), Operating Manual (Part A), Operating
Manual (Part B) and other controlled documents/data. One of the major motivators for using an EFB is
to reduce or eliminate the need for paper and other reference materials in the cockpit.

In the past, some of these functions were traditionally accomplished using paper references or were
based on data provided to the flight crew by an airline's "flight dispatch" function.

Portable electronic devices (PC based computers) or Class-II Mounted devices can integrate a wide
range of software applications, contributing to replace time-consuming paper manual methods, and
therefore improving data accuracy and flight crew productivity.

1.2 General
Digital Station utilizes a customer-maintainable database containing a list of the available applications
and their associated characteristics. Additionally, the database contains customer preferences such as
airline name and airline logo. Maintenance of the database is done by the customer using a Strongpilot
supplied web base System Administrator application.

Digital Station appears at EFB start-up and runs as the Windows Operating Systems shell to prevent
user exposure to standard interfaces and functions (the Windows desktop environment will never
appear to the end user). It provides access to all installed applications through the EFB task bar. Multiple
applications are capable of running concurrently.

Digital Station provides methods to view the current configuration of the EFB. The current configuration
reported includes all software/data component descriptions, part numbers and versions. Class-II
Hardware also provides Task Manager interface to monitor system and methods to manually kill
applications.
