Added two drug dogs to the police department and one good dog to the golf course Have increased LOST percentages Have paved all unpaved city-owned streets Have completed the first phase of the 9th Street water sewer project Established a lower Floridian permit Increased our water withdrawal permit Purchased the golf course to use as spray field to reduce our discharge Expanded the Fire Department with the purchase and construction of the Blue Jay Road Station and adding additional equipment Built Fire training building Transitioned to a paid/volunteer stipend fire department Improved ISO rating Expanded Ft. Howard Road, improved drainage and added sidewalks Expanded Highway 21 and Improved traffic flow Purchased a new public works building Renovated the Vernon C. Hinely Center using grant funds Expanded our recreation operation with the addition of basketball and football Purchased the Lions Club building which expanded Macomber Park allowing construction of our new four-field complex with concession stand, bathrooms and additional parking Renovated the recreation building into a multi- purpose facility Made the Fourth of July celebration into an annual event Construction Patriots Park, Giles Park, added items to Veterans Park, and bought and updated Freedom Park
