AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2017-025SECTION1 A
& B (ABOLITION OF POSITIONS UNDER CITY AGRICULTURIST
OFFICE) FROM ONE (1) AGRICULTURIST I - SG/11 ITEM NO. 8 TO
ONE (1) AGRICULTURIST - SG/11 ITEM NO. 7 AND FROM TWO (2)
AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGIST - SG/10 ITEMS NO. 9 & 10 TO
TWO (2) AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGIST - SG/10 ITEMS NO. 15 &

WHEREAS, Regulation Ordinance No. 2007-025 of the City Agriculturist Office

abolition and creation of positions was passed on February 21, 2017;

I WHEREAS, Section 76 of RA. 7160 of the Local Government Code of 1991

states that:

"Sec. 76. - Every LGU shall design and implement its own structure
and staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and guidelines
prescribed by the Civil Service Commission."

WHEREAS, there is a need to amend some provisions of the said regulation

ordinance specifically Section 1 A & B to improve services particularly their
administr tive functions.

NOW, THEREFORE, let it be ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the

City of lloilo, in session assembled, that:

Section 1. - Regulation Ordinance No. 2007-025, Section 1 (A) is hereby

amended from one (1) Agriculturist I - SG/11 Item No. 8 to ONE (1) AGRICULTURIST I
- SG/11 ITEM NO. 7;

Section 2. - Regulation Ordinance No. 2007-025, Section 1 (B) is hereby

amended from two (t}:Agricultural Technologist - SG/10 Items No. 9 & 10 to TWO (2)
AGRICULTURAL TEeHNOLOGIST - SG/10 ITEMS NO. 15 & 16;

Section 3. - Except for the above amendment, all other provisions of Regulation
Ordinance No. 2007-025 shall remain in full force;

Section 4. - This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
