Peoples behaviour is determined by forces not of their own making

The behaviour a person exhibits in certain situations depends on several factors both intrinsic
as well as extrinsic it varies largely from person to person. Behaviour of a person tells us a lot about
him from how he has been brought up to how well he can handle situations both within and outside
his control. I have chosen to write for the motion.

Human behaviour is mostly determined by how he has been brought up for example studies
have shown that children with siblings defer in a lot of ways in their behaviour than those without
siblings. Also children whose parents are short tempered are more likely to get angry in certain
situations more than other people. We have little or no control on how we are brought up so this
reasoning supports my point of view.

Human behaviour is also influenced by several external factors such as deadlines, their co-
workers , friends ,superiors and family matters. As workers we have no control over the company
deadlines and our moods become worse as the deadline date approaches. Our co workers also
effect our behaviour. Those people with competent and dependable co workers are in a much better
mood and behave much more competently as compared to people with troublesome co workers.
Human beings are social creatures so we cannot live without communicating with others. Our
friends and relatives thus also play a role in determining our behaviour those with friendly relatives
and friends who spend time with them are more happy and relaxed compared to the ones with
distant relatives . Finally our family conditions have a lot to do with our behaviour. Those facing
problems in their family life say someone is very sick in the family are much more depressed or
irritated as compared to others and thus their behaviour is distinctly behaviour from others. Most of
these factors are beyond our control but they play an important role in determining our behaviour.

Thus we can conclude that as human beings our behaviour is influenced by many factors many
of which are beyond our control and this essay justifies my point of view.
