9 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Employee satisfaction surveys provide management with the knowledge and tools to
build positive employee relations and a positive work environment. Employee
attitudes, burnout tendencies, passion factors, loyalty, workplace climate and
competitive intelligence are key indicators for employee retention, satisfaction, and
productivity. Effective businesses focus on creating and reinforcing employee
satisfaction to get the most out of their human capital.

People management is an important aspect of organizational processes. This emanated

from the recognition that the human resources of an organization and the organization
itself are synonymous. A well-managed business organization normally considers the
average employees as the primary source of productivity gains. These organizations
consider employees rather than capital as the core foundation of the business and
contributors to firm development. To ensure the achievement of firm goals, the
organization creates an atmosphere of commitment and cooperation for its employees
through policies that facilitate employee satisfaction. Satisfaction of human resource
finds close links to highly motivated employees.

Interpretation

1. This is the table that shows the output of correlation analysis and whether there is
a statistically correlation between asked Questions. We can see that the
correlation value is 0.249, which is below 0.05 and therefore there is less
correlation between the different outputs.

2. This is the table that shows the output of correlation analysis and whether there is
a statistically correlation between asked Questions. We can see that the
correlation value is 0.757, which is above 0.05 and therefore there is a
statistically correlation between the different outputs.

3. From the above table, the most affected factors for satisfaction is (1) employees
are not satisfied with working environment and provided rights to put forward
their opinions. Both factors are related with each other about their level of
satisfaction. The correlation factor between them is 0.757 (2) The performance
appraisal policy and rights to express their opinions in the organization which
affects the most. The correlation factor between them is 0.737.

between variables of study and hence the date was further subjected to
factor analysis to identify the factor that impact on employee satisfaction at

Interpretation:

Table 11.9 KMO and Bartletts Test

Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) Test is a measure of how suited your data is for Factor Analysis.
The test measures sampling adequacy for each variable in the model and for the complete
model. The statistic is a measure of the proportion of variance among variables that might be
common variance.

The lower the proportion, the more suited data is to Factor Analysis.
KMO returns values between 0 and 1. A rule of thumb for interpreting the statistic
KMO values between 0.8 and 1 indicate the sampling is adequate.
KMO values less than 0.5 indicate the sampling is not adequate and that remedial
action should be taken.
KMO Value of 0.621 suggests that factor analysis can be use for further analysis

Moreover, Bartletts test checks, whether there is any correlation exists between variable or
not.

Bartletts test with a significance value of 0.000 indicates that the alternate hypothesis
is accepted which states that there is co-relation exists among various variables.
Further, for interpretation of new expected factors,0.5 is considered as a cut-off value
Table 11.10 Total Variance Explained
Here the cumulative percentage has to be more than 0.65 but here in these case 7 variables
exist and their cumulative frequency is 0.82 which is greater than 0.65

So that the value explained that there is total 7 factors exists in the case.

Table 11.11 related component matrix

Here the Co-efficient of all variables will be compared and the value consists more than 0.05
will be taken for the identification of factors.

49
Table 11.12 Component transformation matrix
Here the rotated component matrix shows a pairwise comparison between the 7th variable that
are identified like 1-1(1to1), 2-2(2to2), 3-3(3to3), 4-4(4to4) 5-5(5to5) 6-6(6to6) and 7-
7(7to7).

The highest value of coefficient shows the more importance of the variable and the lowest
value of the coefficient show the less importance of that total variable in the study.

So here the highest value of the coefficient is for 7th variable which is 0.696 and the lowest
value of the coefficient is for 3rd variable which is 0.172, so it is less important.

Below factors are identified from the factor analysis output
