LESSON PLAN IN 21ST CENTURY LITERATURE FROM THE PHILIPPINES (Regional)

Learning Competency: EN12Lit-IC-23

I. OBJECTIVES
At the of the lesson, 75% of the students will be able to:
1. identify representative text and authors from each region
2. value the contributions of local writers to the development of regional literary
traditions schools is located.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Names of Authors and their works, and backgrounds of the literature from the region
where the high school is located.

Reference/s:

Materials: DLP, Laptop, Manila paper, Map of Northern Mindanao

Strategies: Picture Analysis, Brainstorming and role playing.etc..

Guide Questions:
1. identify authors and their literary works of the region which are shown in the
picture.

Group the students into five, each group is given a specific regional literary work, and
present their output through differentiated activity.
Group 1- How Cagayan de Oro got its name? (Interview)
Group 2- Panlibay Hu Bata (Lyric Poem) (Choral reading)
Group 3- Bantugan, Epic of the Maranaos (Role Play)
Group 4- Sunset View from a house in Jasaan - (Slogan)
Group 5- Elegy for a Tortoise (Poster)
