BULLYIN
The concept refers to bullying and any form of physical, verbal or psychological
abuse that occurs between school children, repeatedly and over time.

Bullying usually takes place in the classroom and in the school yard. This type of
violence usually affects children between the ages of 12 and 15, although it can be
extended to other ages.

When talking about bullying, it is necessary to establish that professionals who are
experts in the field have a clear idea of what the harasser and harasser have.
Thus, in the first case, these are the main signs of identity that define him:
The stalker is someone who needs to have dominion over another to feel
powerful and thus be recognized.
Lacks social skills and shows no capacity for empathy.
As a rule, it is someone who usually has problems of violence in their own home.
Has no capacity for self-criticism and manipulates at will the reality.

In the second case, that of the harassed, we can say that these are the
characteristics that usually identify him:
He is submissive.
You have low self-esteem and you do not have a secure personality.
Has an absolute inability to defend himself.
It is a person very attached to his family and has no autonomy.
Usually presents some kind of difference with the rest of his classmates in
regards to race, religion, physique ...

The aggressor or harasser disturbs his victim in different ways, before the silence
or complicity of the rest of the companions. It is common for the conflict to start
with mockery that becomes systematic and can lead to physical blows or attacks.

Bullying cases reveal an abuse of power. The harasser achieves the intimidation of
the other boy, who perceives him as stronger, beyond whether this strength is real
or subjective. Little by little, the harassed child begins to experience various
psychological consequences to the situation, being afraid of attending school,
showing withdrawn before his companions, etc.

Bullying has become one of the main concerns parents have about their children. It
is therefore important that they pay attention to signs that may indicate that their
offspring are suffering from bullying:
The teen has very sudden mood swings.
She is afraid to go to school, so she always makes excuses to skip school.
There is a major change in school performance.
Do not tell anything about your day-to-day life in the center.

or to kiss, take photographs in the bathroom doing their needs, or some part of the
body without authorization.

Tips to prevent bullying:

1. Meet your friends and classmates. Ask him how his relationship with them is.

2. If you notice that your child has any signs of violence in your body, privately ask
what happened to him and make him feel confident so that I can tell you what
happened.

3. Do not ask your child to solve the problem alone, much less violence, because
this, far from solving the problem, can cause more stress in children or
adolescents.

4. Let him know that he counts on your support and that in case of any offense go
with some academic authority.

5. When a case of bullying is detected, the parents of the child or adolescent

should work together with the school to solve the problem immediately.

6. Be informed of the measures being taken in the institution to resolve the case
and establish with the academic authorities a deadline to know the results.

7. Look at your child at home, if you have any changes in behavior or eating, it is
important that you support yourself with professional help.

8. Keep discretion of what happens with the follow-up of the case, many times
family and friends can comment indiscretions that affect your little one.

9. If the deadline that you put to the academic authorities is not fulfilled and you
notice that your child does not feel calm, it is best that you change it of school.
10. Many parents make the mistake of having the children continue their studies so
as not to miss the school year, but it is best to give the child the peace and security
he needs.
