Element properties; Isoparametric formulations; analysis of framed structures; plane stress, plane strain, and
axisymmetric problems; analysis of plate bending, FEM Software applications in Civil Engineering, Introduction
to FEM programming.
5. Justification for the change in course description:
Software to be introduced and the course is made more Civil Engineering oriented and simpler for
undergraduates.
