III. DIDACTIC SEQUENCE


BEGINNING : (5 MINUTES)
Teach the song Pitter Patter to the students in a call and response form
Teach the actions to Pitter Patter

DEVELOPMENT : (30 MINUTES)


Show students the Rainstick. Ask what they think it is.
Explain that its called a Rainstick and its used to make rain sounds!
Sing Pitter Patter all together while each student tries the rainstick.
Explain that we are going to create our own rainsticks! (Rainsticks will already have one
of the sides covered with plastic wrap).
Have students decorate their rainstick while rain songs play in the background.

Show them how to put the beans in it.
Have students ask for help when they want to cover the other end.

EVALUATION: (5 MINUTES)
