COMPREHINSIVE ASSIGNMENT

Instructions:

c) The maximum length should be 5+5 pages for each part of the assignments.

The purpose of the assignment is to get you to think about the psychology of principles of
Management by applying it to your own life. The theories or concepts that you apply are basically
up to your own perception of your own behavior. However, these must be theories grounded in the
text and classroom discussion.

Functional of Management Assignment - Write a paper which covers all of the functions of
management in greater depth (2 pages for Each Functions of Management). The management
functions include: 1) Planning, 2) Organizing, 3) Staffing, 4) Leading, & 5) Controlling. This should
involve library and internet research of the function selected.

Corporation Analysis Assignment - Students will individually write and submit a research paper
featuring an analysis of a corporation/company (of their choice) and a major issue facing that firm
(you can also discuss any issue faced by a company in recent past like Cyrus Mistry issue). By the
end of this assignment, the student should develop an understanding of management practice that
enables them to function more effectively in today's work environments, including an awareness of
the issues of globalization, firm competitiveness, and the effect and impact of structure on firm
performance.

I want you to be very specific to both the theoretical aspects and its application to your specific
situation.

It is important to note that your grade will also depend on your ability to clearly show how the
SPECIFIC aspect of the principles of management applies to your situation. This needs to be clearly
linked in the application.
