MLA Formatting

MLA stands for Modern Language Association. MLA is one of the most commonly used

formatting to write papers and cite sources. MLA style also provides writers with a system for

referencing their sources through citation in their essays and Works Cited pages.

People who properly use MLA also build their credibility by demonstrating accountability to

their source material. The most important thing is, the use of MLA can protect writers from

accusations of plagiarism.
