Terms and Conditions
Credit Card Account:
I authorize Allied Bank to open an Allied Visa Credit Card Account (card account) in my
name. Allied Bank will charge to this account any amount arising under transactions
which I make on the Card and any other amounts, which I have to pay under these Terms and
Conditions.

Credit Limit: Allied Bank at its sole discretion shall decide the credit limit that will be
ascribed to me in connection with the Card. Allied Bank may also change this credit limit
without notice and without assigning any reason. I will not let the card account go over
the assigned credit limit or use my card account if it is already over the credit limit. My
card account will not be used for illegal transactions.

Statement of Account: Allied Bank will send me a statement of account every


calendar month on which there will be a date stipulated by which I will be required to
make the payment that is also stipulated in such statement of account. I agree to make
such payment to Allied Bank within the time period specified by Allied Bank in such
manner as Allied Bank may specify. Allied Bank will only accept that I have paid any
money I owe to Allied Bank when Allied Bank receives my payment at its processing
center.

Charges: I acknowledge and agree that charges, fees, duties, levies and other expenses
(collectively “charges”) will be charged by Allied Bank for the issuance and usage of the
Card. I agree to pay and reimburse Allied Bank all or any of such levies immediately
upon demand. Such levies will change from time to time at the discretion of the Bank and
it is my responsibility to obtain the prevailing rates of such levies from the Bank.

Foreign Transactions: If I use my Card for a transaction in a currency that is not


Pakistani Rupees, I agree that Allied Bank will convert all such amounts into Pakistani
Rupees for the purpose of reimbursement from me at the rate of exchange applied by
Allied Bank for such purpose in accordance with the applicable rules of business practice
of Allied Bank on the date Allied Bank debits my account with such charge.

Cash Advance: Allied Bank may permit me to use the Card to obtain cash advance up
to the limit decided by Allied Bank, at the counters of the Bank, other participating bank
counters, financial institutions or ATMs that accept the Card.

PIN/TIN:Allied Bank will issue me a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and a


Telephone Identification Number (TIN) for the usage of the Card and for Allied Phone
Banking. Allied Bank has no obligation for establishing/verifying the identity/authority
of any person or determining the validity of any transaction as long as where the person
giving such instructions is purportedly me and provides Allied Bank with the PIN or TIN,
as the case may be, and Allied Bank shall not be liable for any acts done in pursuance of
such transactions or telephonic instructions. I hereby indemnify and release Allied Bank
from any and all liability arising as a consequence of Allied Bank honoring or allowing
any actions or transactions where the person giving such instruction provides the PIN or
TIN assigned to me.

Credit Balance: I will not be entitled to withdrawals of any credit balance in respect of
the card account but any such credit balance will be applied to offset my outstanding
during subsequent billing periods. No profit or return of any type will be paid, or accrued
upon, any credit balances maintained in the card account at any time.

Security: I will sign the Card as soon as I get it and shall not permit any person other
than myself to use the Card, PIN, TIN or other security information under any
circumstances whatsoever.

Lost Card:If my Card is lost, stolen or misplaced, I shall immediately inform the Bank.
I agree that I will be solely liable for all transactions made on my Card until such time as
I report the loss, theft or misplacement to Allied Bank.

No Liability:Allied Bank will not be responsible for any loss to me if a merchant


refuses or declines to accept the Card for any reason or if Allied Bank declines or fails to
give the merchant the requisite authorization. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless
Allied Bank from all claims, loss or damage suffered or sustained as a consequence of
Allied Bank issuing a Card to me, my usage of the Card, a breach by me of these Terms
and Conditions or due to negligence on my part.

Property: The Card belongs to Allied Bank. If Allied Bank asks me to, I must not use it
and must return it to Allied Bank. If Allied Bank asks me to return the Card or if it
believes that the Card is being misused, Allied Bank may also put a 'stop' on it. This will
prevent me from using it. Allied Bank may also do this to minimize the risk of fraud if
my account has not been used for more than 12 months. Allied Bank may change the card
account number or PIN or TIN at any time if it has a good reason. I will only use the
Card between the 'valid from' and 'end date' printed on it.

Restriction: I undertake and confirm that the credit limit assigned to me will not be
used by me for subscription in an initial public offering of any company and neither shall
I use the credit limit for any illegal or unlawful matter or for a transaction that is
prohibited by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Change in Circumstances:I will immediately inform Allied Bank of any change in


the details given by me in the card application form.

Default:I will pay Allied Bank immediately all amounts due to it by me if:

(i)I violate or breach any term or condition or representation or warranty contained herein
or in the credit card application form

(ii)I die
(iii)I have told Allied Bank something misleading or false or incorrect or incomplete

(iv)I am in financial difficulties or an event has happened that has a detrimental impact
on my credit worthiness

(v)I default on the payment of any other finance facility taken by me from any other
financial institution

(vi)Allied Bank is or at any stage is in breach or threatened breach of any rules or


regulations issued by the State Bank of Pakistan

(vii)I issue instructions to Allied Bank to revoke or cancel my Card

Allied Bank will also charge me for any loss, costs or expense that Allied Bank has had
to reasonably pay as a result of any of (i) to (vii) of the above.

Without prejudice to the above, if I am in default, Allied Bank shall have the right to
mark a lien on any or all accounts of mine held by Allied Bank and further Allied Bank
shall have the right to set off, without notice to me, my outstandings in the card account
from amounts held by it in my name in any other account of mine.

Transfer:Allied Bank may transfer any or all of its rights or duties under these terms to
another organization without my consent. I also give Allied Bank the permission to share
and reveal my account information to any person or company on a need-to-know basis.

Notices:Allied Bank may send any notice or other information to the last address I gave
them. Allied Bank can also monitor and record phone calls to or from me.

Delay no Waiver:Allied Bank can delay in enforcing, or fail to enforce, its rights
under these Terms and Conditions without losing them. Allied Bank may also accept
part-payments marked as 'payment in full' or with similar wording without losing its right
to claim full payment.

Additional Cards:Upon my request, Allied Bank may issue an additional Card to a


person specified by me. I agree that the above Terms and Conditions shall apply to such
additional Cardholder and that I will be jointly and severally liable with such additional
Cardholder for all outstanding in the name of such additional Cardholder. If an additional
credit card is issued at my request, the reference to “Card” in these Terms and Conditions
shall include the additional credit card(s) issued.

1. How and where can I use my Allied Visa Credit Card?

Your Allied Visa Credit Card can be used anywhere locally as well as globally at
any merchant outlet accepting Visa Credit Cards.
2. How and where do I make my monthly payments?
You can make your monthly payment by:
Sending a cheque/pay order/draft in the name of Allied Visa Credit Card either by
mail or by using the drop boxes at the Bank’s designated branches. Please indicate
your name and card number on the reverse side of the cheque.

3. Is there a cash withdrawal limit with my credit card?


You can make cash withdrawals of up to 75% of your credit limit.

4. Will I be charged any cash withdrawal/cash advance fee?


A minimum fee will be charged as mentioned in the Schedule of Charges.

5. Do I have to clear my entire outstanding balance at the end of each month?


Either the entire outstanding balance or 5% of the outstanding balance can be paid.
The remaining balance will be carried forward in the next monthly statement.
6. How will I be charged the service fee for retail transactions?
If payment is made within 50 credit free days, no service fee will be charged if the
entire outstanding balance is paid off. If a minimum payment is made, then the
lowest service fee of only 2% per month will be charged on the outstanding amount.

7. What should I do if there are discrepancies/errors in my monthly statement?


For any complaints, please contact the Complain Management unit.
8. How do I know my credit limit?
The credit limit is mentioned on the Credit Card Statement.

9. What should I do if I lose my card?


If your Card is lost or stolen, you are requested to immediately call 0800-22522 and
ask for it to be blocked to prevent any further transactions being made on it.

10. What should I do if I encounter problems with my Allied Visa Credit Card?
If you face any problem with your Card, please report it on 0800-22522 or you can
send a written query to the Complain Management Unit.

11. Who should I contact if there is a change in my address?


You can simply call 0800-22522 or fill out the perforated form at the back of your
credit card statement

12. How do I know how much I have to pay?


Your credit card statement will have the necessary information about the minimum
payment due, payment due date, cash advance limit and the remaining credit limit.

13. Who should I contact if I encounter any problem abroad?


You can call the international call centre on 9221-5301094.

14. What is ‘Allied Easy Installments (AEI)’?


It is a facility with which you can make purchases of up to 80% of your credit limit
and split your payment into equal monthly installments spread over 3,
6,9,12,18,24,30 or 36 months.

15. Will I be charged any fee or interest rate on subscribing to AEI?


There will be no processing fee, only a monthly service charge.

16. What is Balance Transfer Facility (BTF)?


It is a facility through which you can consolidate your outstanding balances on other
cards onto your Allied Visa Credit Card and save more on your outstanding
payments than ever before.

17. Will I be charged any fees or charges for BTF?


You will be charged a processing fee and a service charge as is mentioned in the
Schedule of Charges.

18. Can I change my PIN?


Yes, you can change your PIN any time.

19. Where do I need to use the PIN?


You will be required to use your PIN when withdrawing cash from ATMs.

20. What do I need to do to cancel my card?


If you wish to discontinue your Card, you can cut it into two halves and send it to
Credit Card Operations, 2nd Floor, Trade Tower Building, Abdullah Haroon Road,
Near Hotel Metropole, Karachi.

21. What are GCAS numbers?


These are Global Customer Assistance Numbers provided by VISA, which the
Cardholder can call any time for assistance.

22. What is a supplementary card and how can I get it?


A supplementary card can be provided to any of the card member’s relative or
friend.

23. How will the transactions on supplementary cards be recorded?


The billing of the supplementary card will be done on the basic card statement.

24. Will the supplementary Cardholder pay the amount on his own?
The basic card member will pay for all the transactions made on the basic card.

25. What are VPCC numbers?


These are Visa Platinum Customer Care Centre numbers that can be exclusively
used by Platinum Cardholders.

26. Will I be charged for CIP lounge facility?


No. This is a complimentary facility for Cardholders.

27. How can I get my limit increased?


You can fill out the ‘Limit Enhancement Form’, which will be in your welcome
pack.
