understanding the elements and principles.

The learner presents a form of integrated contemporary art based on the region of his/her choice. (e.g.
choreography, musical instrument, literary and music composition, visual design, and/or theatrical
performance.

The teacher will call a student and ask her/him a question. Then after the student answer the given
question, she/he will ask question to another student. The process will be repeated until the last
student.

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson
Guess what?
The teacher will call two students volunteer and ask the other one to guess what is the word written
on the paper. The student will just be given two minutes to guess the written word.
The words are:

After the word was guessed, the teacher will post and write it on the board. Afterwards, the students
will classify what elements of art are those.

After the students classified the elements of art based on the examples presented, the teacher will
elaborate it.
*Elements of art:
1. space- in visual arts, it is void, emptiness which can either be positive or negative.
2. line - an extension of points.

Now, let us go back to the examples of contemporary arts that we discussed, in a small group,
evaluate the elements ad principles of arts used in the different art forms. 15 minutes will be allotted
for each group.
E. Developing Mastery
Look inside your schoolbags and around the classroom for tools. In a piece of white paper, use
these tools in creating the elements of art. Create as many art elements and use as many tools as
possible. Do not forget to label the elements that youll be making.
F. Finding Practical Application of Concepts in Daily Living
Life is not complete without essence. Just like the various elements of arts, that the contemporary
arts needed, life is also comparable to this. In a few sentences write down the connection of the
elements of art in your life as grade 11 students.
G. Evaluate Learning
Answer the following:
1. It is defined as void & emptiness that can be positive or negative.
2. It is an extension of point.
3. It forms when the lines meet.
4. The most striking art elements that catches the eye.
5. Pertains to the degree of lightness & darkness.

Perform the given tasks:
The teacher will group the students into five to perform the following tasks:
1. Choose a leader and make a short creative introduction of your group.
2. 10 minutes will just be given for each group to prepare.
3. Maximum of three minutes will be allotted to presentation.
4. The task to perform will just be assign by picking your number.
Tasks 1: Talk about the choreography from different regions.
Task 2: Discuss the various musical instruments from different regions.
Task 3. Explain the literary pieces of each region.
Task 4: Comment on the theatrical performance of each region.
Task 5. Compare the visual design found in different regions.
