The Wheel of the Year expresses

Th e W h e e l o f t h e Y e a r the circular cycle of the year. The


flow of the sun, moon,seasons and
life. There are eight sabbats(divi-
sions) to the year, there are four
Winter Solstice solar days or the minor sabbats,
Yule, Ostara, Litha, Mabon. The
four high sabbats which are
Imbloc, Beltaine, Lughnasadh, and
Eve of Eve of Samhain. The minor sabbats are
October 31st Yule February 1st held on either an equinox or sol-
stice. The high sabbats fall roughly
half way between the minor sab-
Samhain Imbolc bats, dividing the year into eight
equal parts.
