Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:-

Explain Ohms law

Describe how you get a constant Ratio
for Voltage and Current after
increasing the value of voltage each
time.

Scene 1: Image and introduction of the

physicist and mathematician.

Georg Simon Ohm (German: [om]; 16 March

1789 6 July 1854) was a German physicist
and mathematician. As a school teacher, Ohm
began his research with the new
electrochemical cell, invented by Italian
scientist Alessandro Volta
Scene 2: Definition will be shown

The Electric Current Following Through a

Metallic Wire is Directly Proportional to the
Potential Difference Across its end, Provided its
Temperature remains the same.

Scene 3: Lab Setup for verification of Ohms

Law

Voltmeter: This an instrument for measuring

electric potential in volts
Milliammeter:This is an instrument for
measuring electric current in milliamperes.
Switch: To connect and disconnect the Circuit.

Cell: To provide voltage

Nichrome Wire: Nichrome are alloys of nickel,

chromium, and often iron The most common
usage is as resistance wire.

Scene 4: show wire connection to complete

the circuit.

Lets connect the wires to complete the circuit.

Scene 5: show Complete circuit and its working

with One Cell

Now Lets make the switch ON and see how the

circuit works.
Lets note down the reading from milliammeter
And voltmeter in a Table.
Now switch OFF after taking the Reading.
Scene 6: show Complete circuit and its working
with Two Cells.

Now Lets make the switch ON and see how the

circuit works again.
Lets note down the reading from milliammeter
And voltmeter in a Table.
Now switch OFF after taking the Reading.
.

Scene 6: show Complete circuit and its working

with Three Cells.

Now Lets make the switch ON and see how

the circuit works again.
Lets note down the reading from milliammeter
And voltmeter in a Table.
Now switch OFF after taking the Reading.

Scene7: Show the Table in which Reading was

taken.

Lets calculate the Ratio of V and I.

So after calculating the Ratios we see that the

Ratio is same in all the Three cases.

It mean that
V/I=K
Or
V=KI
Or
V is directly Proportinal to Current I.

Provided the temperature unde which

experiment is conducted remains the same.

Scene8: Summary
As we increases the Number of Cells
Value of I increase
Value of V Increase.
But the Ratio Remains the same.
It mean the Voltage is directly Proportional to
current.
Hence Ohms Law Verified.
