Two colleges
in one friendly city
2+2 Transfer Programs The 2+2 partnerships at Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) allows you
to take two years of classes at CCS, then transfer easily to a partner school,
including Eastern Washington University, Gonzaga University, Northern
Arizona University, University of Idaho, Washington State University,
Western Washington University and Whitworth University.
Intensive English Language The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) is an outstanding, fully
accredited language program that helps international students from all
over the world develop their English language skills.
Save on Tuition A year of study at Community Colleges of Spokane is only $18,000, which
will save you tens of thousands of dollars over two years compared to a
4-year university (University of Washington is over $34,000 a year;
Washington State is $25,000; Gonzaga is $38,000).
Save on Living Expenses Spokane is a smaller city, with affordable housing. It is much less expensive
to live in Spokane than in Seattle or Portland.
Location Spokane is on the eastern side of Washington State in the northwest corner of
the United States. The city is small enough to be friendly, but large enough
to find plenty to do. In addition, Spokane is close to forests, rivers, lakes, and
skiing in the winter. Its a beautiful place to study.
Community Both campuses have active International Clubs, as well as clubs committed to
celebrating specific cultures or languages, such as the Asian Club, the Arab
Culture Club, the Spanish Club, and more. The Student Government hosts
films, parties, concerts, recognized speakers and other on-campus activities.
Student Services Our students are what make us successful. Each student who comes through
our doors receives individualized attention:
Placement Testing
Academic Advising
Transfer Assistance
Housing CCS offers an outstanding Homestay program, where you can live with an
American family. You will have a private room, experience American living, learn
about American culture and customs, and practice English every day. Spokane
also has a number of apartment buildings that are affordable for students.
