Singapore-Based Radiation & Oncology Specialist AARO, Eyeing Expansion


Across Asia, Appoints Dr Jonathan Teh as Consultant
Singapore, 17 July 2017 Singapore-based Asian American Radiation & Oncology Pte Ltd (AARO), one
of Asias leading radiation oncology centres, announced today the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Teh Yi
Hui as Consultant.
Dr. Teh, who has received multiple awards and has more than ten years of experience with the National
Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), joins Dr. Daniel Tan Yat Harn, who in 2015 spearheaded the formation
of AARO, a division of Australian Securities Exchange-listed Asian American Medical Group (AAMG or
the Group).
AARO has grown rapidly since inception and plans to expand in Asia. Apart from its flagship AARO clinic
in Gleneagles Hospital, it intends to open three new clinics in Singapore by end-August 2017. Located at
Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Farrer Park Hospital, the clinics
will offer specialised radiation therapy treatment and clinical expertise.
AARO currently also offers management and advisory services to radiation oncology units in Myanmar,
and Russia. AARO doctors fly regularly to these overseas centres to support operations under its hub
and spoke model, which also deploys telemedicine to facilitate face-to-face video consultations with
patients.
Dr. Teh obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and received further
specialist radiation and clinical oncology postgraduate certification from the Academy of Medicine,
Singapore and the Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom. He previously served as a radiation
oncology consultant in NCCS for six years, as well as adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS
Medical School. He has also spoken and presented at numerous local and international radiotherapy and
oncology meetings.

global health enterprise based in the United States.
