2.1 Check for water level of underground tank. It should be full or more than half all the time.
2.2 Start the bore pump to fill this underground tank.
2.3 Start the hypo chlorite dosing system for disinfection.
2.4 Water will go continuously to underground tank. When it is fill stop the bore well pump.
3.0 MGF
3.1 Open the manual ball valve of MGF feed pump; if closed.
3.2 Check that the multiport valve of MGF should be on back wash mode.
3.3 Start the MGF feed pump.
3.4 Check the water quality of the backwash drain.
3.5 Till water from drain is not clear run the system on Backwash.
3.6 When the water comes clear from the drain; normally it takes 10-15 min , stop the MGF feed pump.
3.7 Turn the mode of MMPV to rinse.
3.8 Start the feed pump.
3.9 Water will continuously drain
3.10 Run the pump till 10 min.
3.11 Stop the feed pump.
3.12 Replace the inside media as per manufactured recommendation.
3.13 Turn the mode of MPPV to service mode.
4.0 Softener : normal operation
4.1 Open the softener inlet valve.
4.2 Open the softener drain valve.
4.3 Maintain the softener inlet pressure 2.0 to 2.5 Kg/cm2 and outlet pressure to 1.0-2.0 kg/cm2.

4.4 Check the hardness and record in logbook.
4.5 Softener can treat a limited amount of water beyond the limit softener exhausted and hardness not
treated.
4.6 Regenerate the softener each time when OBR reached or hardness goes beyond 20ppm.
4.7 Replace the inside media as per manufactured recommendation.
5.0 REGENERATION
5.1 Turn on the multiport valve to regeneration mode.
5.2 Prepare the NaCl solution in the chemical tank. Take 20 kg NaCl mix it with 30 liter soft water.
5.3 Start the MGF as per SOP & open the injection valve of softener.
5.4 This will suck the NaCl solution from the tank, charge the resin &drain the remaining solution from
the softener vessel.
5.5 When solution tank is empty turn OFF the MGF feed pump.
5.6 Turn ON the multiport valve to rinse mode.
5.7 Turn ON the MGF feed pump.
5.8 This will continuously flush the extra NaCl from the resin.
5.9 Check the hardness continuously.
5.10 When the hardness comes below the 20ppm then turn OFF the MGF feed pump.
5.11 Turn the multiport valve service mode on.
6.0 SMBS &ANTISCALENT DOSING
6.1 SMBS dosing done for De-chlorination and Antiscalent dosing used for removing scale upon the
surface of RO membrane.
6.2 Whenever MGF system is run, it is also required to run SMBS and Antiscalent dosing pump.
6.3 Daily prepare the chemical solution of right concentration as per the SOP.

6.4 The chemical which remain unused; drain every day.
6.5 If the ORP reading goes beyond limit (more than 300 mV) then increase the dosing of SMBS.
Normally the ORP ( Oxidation reduction potential) should come in the range of 200-300.
7.0 CARTRIDGE FILTER
7.1 Cartridge filter used before RO membrane is of 5 micron.
7.2 It works as an online filter; whenever the system goes ON it starts to work and prevent the RO
membrane to suspended solid by filtering the particle larger than 5 micron.
7.3 This is consumable item and required to replace on each 2 month.
7.4 Record the replacement data in the format.
8.0 RO SYSTEM
8.1 Turn the mode to AUTO by pressing the button on from the RO panel.
8.2 This will start the RO HPP.
8.3 Check the ORP meter. If the ORP value is high then adjust from the SMBS dosing pump rate by
increasing it. Record the value of ORP in the format.
8.4 After 30 sec of running; maintain feed flow up to 1.2m3/hr and feed pressure up to 10kg/cm3 in
rotameters given on the RO panel.
8.5 Maintain permeate flow up to 1.2m3/hr and reject flow to 0.3m3/hr by adjusting the reject
recirculation flow up to 1.2m3/hr.
9.0 STOPPING PROCEDURE
9.1 Full open the RO reject valve and keep flushing for 10-15 min.
9.2 Turn off the MGF feed pump.
9.3 Turn off the PLC of RO by turning OFF the knob from RO panel.
9.4 Stop the HPP of RO feed.
