Terms and Conditions

1 These fees come into effect as of 01/08/2010.
2 Registration at Guildford College is on the understanding that the College management cannot
accept any responsibility for the consequences of any changes, errors or omissions to this information.
Guildford College takes all reasonable steps ensure that the information provided is correct at the
time of printing, and to provide the services specified both in document and other college materials.
3 Guildford College reserves the right to modify, cancel or suspend any service set out in the
prospectus and in other College materials subject to reasonable notice to the client.
4 Classes may be morning or afternoon, depending on availability. Guarantees are not normally
offered, but attendance in morning or afternoon classes may be determined by promotional offers.
5 Where terms begin or end on a day other than Monday or Friday, the fees for the week are charged
at the full weekly rate. Dates and Fees 2010/2011
6 Where public holidays and INSET days/staff development days are in a teaching week, the fees
for the week are charged at the full weekly rate.
7 All students who require a VISA to enter the UK as a student must study for at least 15 hours per week. ● English Courses
8 Holidays: students making bookings on programmes of 26 weeks or more are entitled to include a
personal 2 week holiday period. This must be notified before enrolment. Refunds are not possible ● Academic and Degree Courses
for personal holidays.
9 Students can claim a refund on the following basis: the bank charge fee for transfers will be ● University Access Courses
deducted from the refund. If you have paid full fees and you cancel more than 12 weeks before
the start date as stated in the offer letter of the course you will get a full refund. If you cancel up to
8 weeks before the due start you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 8 weeks before the ● Vocational Courses
course start date there is no refund unless a) you have had your visa refused or b) you have a serious
medical problem which prevents you from coming to the UK to study. In both cases refunds will only
be paid on receipt of verifiable evidence e.g. scanned copy of documents.
10 Accommodation is arranged for students in advance using the accommodation booking form
which students must complete. If for any reason the accommodation is unsuitable the student may
request a transfer, subject to the College’s agreement. Any additional transfers will be charged at £40.
11 Official letters are free; more than two letters provided will be charged at £20 each letter.

Accommodation and Living Expenses: we estimate that the living and accommodation expenses

15 Service Charges: the International Centre charges additional fees for some of its services, such as

16 International students who study for less than one academic year are required to pay ALL fees
prior to their arrival in the UK. This fee must be paid in full before you can attend classes.

required to pay the annual fees at the beginning of each academic year. This fee must be paid

17 The £10 fee for the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) will be paid for by Guildford
College. If your application for a visa is refused, your deposit will be refunded less the £10 CAS fee.
Guildford College of Further and Higher Education applies specific terms and conditions to its relationship
with international agents. These are available in writing from the international centre and on our website.
The International Centre cannot take responsibility for verbal information given by its staff, and all students
and their representatives/sponsors are asked to read the terms and conditions of application, payment
and enrolment.
