~As the world population grows, urban and rural areas must work together to
create a livable area for all citizens
~Sustainable cities and communities can be achieved but through the other

~ Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for
all. (Goal 6)
~Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
(Goal 7)
~Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. (Goal 12)
Goal 17 - Partnership for the Goals
~The United Nations realize that in order for them to complete their agenda for
these 17 goals, it will require the attention and partnership between
governments, private companies, and even civil society.
~Within this goal, they have certain checkpoints that they want to address by
2030 and the ones most relevant to an international business standpoint are:
mobilizing financial resources for developing countries from several donors;
promoting technology to developing countries; and increasing the level of
exports from developing countries.
