PROPOSAL

I. CONTEXT:

Program Title: BPIS Waste Management


Theme: Improve Waste Management for BPIS Clean Environment

Proposed Date: June 27, 2016 March 30, 2017


Venue: Balibago Primero Integrated School

II. RATIONALE:
Implementation of proper waste management and school waste policies are one of the
key priorities of the school to be included. As confirmed by the Tarlac City Schools Division,
the implementation of this is one among the institutionalized DepEd programs and projects
that should be inculcated in every school.
The proper waste management is one of the main concerns of the school system. The
implementation of policies and programs will bring consciousness among students, teachers
and stakeholders and the beginning of a far better school environment at BPIS.

It is in this sense that the BPIS proposes to conduct a program and policies for waste
management. This relevant program is designed to attain the following objectives:

1. To promote participation in cleaning and maintaining clean environment among the


students, teachers and other stakeholders
2. To help everyone realize the importance of conducive environment for a better
learning. Thus, each classroom should be monitored and maintained cleanliness
every now and then.
3. To train students on proper waste segregation and management.

V. METHODOLOGY:

The Waste Management activity is a yearlong program which is parallel with the
program of the Materials Recovery Facilities (MRF) of the Division. The theme of the BPIS
will center on Improve Waste Management for BPIS Clean Environment. This is designed to
create consciousness on caring and maintaining clean environment among the students and
teachers. The methodology includes twice a day monitoring on classroom waste
management such as proper waste segregation (biodegradable, non- biodegradable and
recyclable), monthly awarding of best classroom waste management implementer and best
teacher implementer.

VII. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES:

The proposed Waste Management Program shall include the following activities:

June 20, 2016- Disseminations of the Program held in the Flag Raising Ceremony
June 27, 2016- Start of Daily Classroom Monitoring of Waste Management Program
Every First Monday of the Month- Awarding of Monthly Best Classroom Implementer
and Best Teacher Implementer.
