Surface preparation:
Oil and grease etc. to be removed by strong detergent solution or with Hempel's
Navi-Wash 99330 followed by thorough fresh water rinsing. Salts and other contamination
to be removed by high pressure fresh water hosing. When the surface is dry: Remove
corrosion and galvanized coat by gritblasting to Sa. 2 - 3 according to ISO 8501-1:2007
with a surface profile corresponding to Rugotest No. 3 BN 10a or Keane-Tator
Comparator Disc, 3.0 G/S. Dedust and clean surface prior to painting.
Stripe coat all hidden difficult areas : weld seams, edges, corners, etc. using paint brush
prior to full spray coat application.
NOTE :
1). Please follow the minimum and maximum recoating time interval of each product
given below. If maximum recoating interval is exceeded, roughening of the surface by
sweepblasting or sanding is necessary to obtain good intercoat adhesion.
2). This Painting Specification is made based on client's requirements.
3). Consult the Product Data Sheets for further technical information and clarification.
