ABSTRACT

The main aim of this project is to design and implement a banking security system based
on Biometric and GSM technology. This can be implemented in banks, offices and homes. In this
system only the authenticated person can access account information and details. In this project
fingerprint biometric security is used. The first step is to enroll a persons fingerprint into the
database. The fingerprint is then stored in the database system with a corresponding ID. In order
to access account details the clients fingerprint is scanned and matched with the templates stored
in the banks database system. If matching is successful and the client is registered with the bank
a One Time Password (OTP) is sent to the clients mobile phone through a GSM Module by the
admin. On entering the correct password the client can gain access to his account. This system can
also create a log containing check in and checkout of each user along with basic information.
