CONTENT STANDARD : 1.2 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce
words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

LEARNING STANDARD : 1.2.2 Able to listen to, follow and give instructions.

OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;


1. Give instructions from and to certain places with guidance.

ACTIVITY : 1. Teacher recaps previous lesson by asking the pupils to name a few planets in
the solar system.
2. Ask pupils to look the map. (TB page 84)
3. Pupils talk about places in the map.
Where can you find cold weather plants?
What can you see in Venus Garden?
4. Introduce directions to pupils by showing directions flashcards.
5. Tell pupils that we can use these directions to give instructions to get from
and to certain places.
6. Pupils reading Mr. Rameshs instructions to Nurul and her friends to get from
Planetarium to Neptune Garden.
7. Pupils work in groups to give instructions to Nurul to get from
Venus Harden to Saturn Garden
Saturn Garden to Earth Garden
The Planetarium to Neptune Garden
8. Teacher calls a few pupils to give instructions.
9. Pupils listened and check whether the pupils instructions are correct or not.
10. Discuss and check answers with pupils.
