1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Al-Zour Refinery Project (ZOR) is one of the strategic initiative projects of Kuwait National Petroleum
Company (a Subsidiary of KPC) to expand the refining capacity in Kuwait.

It is one of the worlds largest grass root refinery project with a refining capacity of 615,000 BPD.

The refinery is designed to process different types of Kuwaiti Crude oils, having full flexibility to
process 615,000 BPD of Kuwait Export Crude oil (KEC) or 535,000 BPD of a mixture of Kuwait
Heavy Crude (KHC) oils with KEC oil.

1.2 PURPOSE OF THE DOCUMENT

This document is prepared for the approval request for Concrete repair which will be utilized for Unit
98 Small Boat Harbour and Unit 99 Land Reclamation Phase I. Contractor submits the request for
the proposed material in order for Companys kind review and approval as the attachment of this
document.

This product will be used and strictly followed as per the suppliers specification

This Material Approval Request will be regularly reviewed and/or updated whenever it is deemed to
be necessary in order to ensure the implementation and improvement of the works on the project.
