A building management system (BMS), otherwise known as a building

automation system (BAS), is a computer-based control system installed in buildings that

controls and monitors the buildings mechanical and electrical equipment such
as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems. A BMS consists of
software and hardware; the software program, usually configured in a hierarchical manner.
Building management systems are most commonly implemented in large projects with extensive
mechanical, HVAC, electrical systems. Systems linked to a BMS typically represent 40% of a
building's energy usage; if lighting is included, this number approaches to 70%. BMS systems
are a critical component to managing energy demand.

The most common primary function of the BMS is the control of a buildings Heating, Ventilation and
Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC) including;

Monitoring and control of utility system:

Monitoring of Electrical System (PLCs supplied by Electrical Vendor.)

Energy Meter recording and tenant Billing system including AC billing

External lighting Control

Under vehicle detection and scanning system

Fire door monitoring system and Fire pump monitoring

Elevator level monitoring system

Water sump Motor control and monitoring

UPS Monitoring System

Integration of BAS system available in the ACMV package thr ODBC/OPC

Attendance and Access control for O&M staffs through Bio-metric system.

Safety and security system:

IP based Addressable Fire alarm panel- Alarm and Detection

Public Address and Emergency voice communication System.

Smart card based Access Control system and Flap barrier
