This group assignment constitutes 25% of the total assessment.

You can choose any of the following topics for your group assignment but limited to the number of groups with
similar topics.

Descriptions

You are required to include the following items in your assignment and presentation:

1. Brief introduction of the selected topic.

2. Explain how the structural elements is manufactured.
3. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of using the selected structural elements in the building
construction.
4. Give real project example(s) of building that adopted the selected structural elements. No two groups
should use the same project / case study.
5. Include suitable and related photographs.
6. Properly cite all references.

Presentation

Each group will send only one representative to present the assignment for 15 minutes. Presentation will start
from Week 10 onwards.

Submission

Prepare a report (hardcopy and softcopy format) that shall be no more than 1500 words together with
presentation slides.

Assignment to be submitted in Week 14.
