Deployment Kit List (HECPO)

A lot of the items listed are self evident and not wishing to insult anyone's
intelligence, but might be helpful to the uninitiated or personnel on first time
deployment into theatre.

This following list is not exhaustive and most items can be purchased from UK based
companies or American type PX's once in country.
But remember supplies do run out very quickly in theatre.

Getting There

The company or contract you are under may stipulate that travel
arrangements are dealt with by the contracted company, so check your
contract or clause.

Flights out of the UK are normally military flights from RAF Brize Norton with a
change at either Hanover / Al Udied / Qatar / Kuwait, Depending on Theatre you are
going to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Be patient as priority goes to Military personnel and the usual 2 Hr check in applies

Handy Hint : Call reservations 24Hrs before you travel to check flight details as the
flights are notoriously unbalanced and DO change to fit Operational requirements.

travelled via Brize Norton.
