While we have not reached an agreement yet, our goal is to keep Vanderbilt Health System in our network. If we are not able to reach an agreement with them, Vanderbilt Health System will no longer be part of the AARP® MedicareComplete® Plan 1 (HMO) network starting August 15, 2017, You can visit uhe.com/Vanderbilt for more information about the ongoing discussions between Vanderbilt Health System and UnitedHealthcare and to sign up for email updates. What happens when a network provider leaves the network? You may be able to continue to receive care with Vanderbilt Health System if they leave our network. However, any care you receive from an out-of-network provider may cost more or not be covered by your plan. Please see your Evidence of Coverage for more information on out-of-network providers and your costs. We suggest you become familiar with other network providers in case Vanderbilt Health System doesn’t accept the terms of the plan as an out-of-network provider. We're happy to help you find a provider in your area. Continuing care with a provider that is no longer in the network In some situations, you may be able to continue seeing an out-of-network provider at network costs. This is called Continuity of Care. For example, if you are actively getting treatment for a serious medical condition such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, you may qualify for Continuity of Care.
