1
Glue the two wing halves together.
Glue wing and horizontal stab to fuse. Make sure they are at 90
angle to fuse. On the 3D Hamnmer, you will have to trim the trail-
ing edge of the center-section of the wing to fit into the slot in the
fuselage.
2
Glue side fuse stiffeners to fuse, wing, and horizontal stab. Make
sure they are straight and at a 90 angle to fuse and are glued well at
the motor cut out.
Both firewall and stick mount parts are provided. Pick the correct
mount for your motor.
3
Install carbon rod on bottom of elevator. Youll need to cut a
channel in foam with sharp razor knife then glue rod in place.
4
Mount motor.
Cut servos into foam and glue into place. We suggest 4 servos for
the 40 planes (one for each aileron, elevator, and rudder). For 32
planes, a single aileron servo may be used to drive both ailerons.
Note that when using 4 servos and an 11.1V Li-Poly pack, we
highly recommend using an external switching BEC such as the
ParkBEC.
5
Install control horns in ailerons. Cut slot with knife and glue into
place.
Install control horns in rudder. Cut slot with knife and glue into
place.
Install control horns in elevator. Cut slot with knife and glue into
place.
6
Install radio gear. Velcro works best.
7
Installing the landing gear is optional.
Cut a slot into the fuse bottom and glue landing gear in place as
shown.
The balance point (center of gravity) should be on carbon rod spar. Set control throws to minimal for first flight. Move CG back
and increase throws to suit.
To add color to your model, Solartrim decal stock works great. You can also use foam friendly acrylic paint for your model.
Enjoy!
