Inlet bleed heat

The inlet bleed heat system is


used to bleed off compressor air
to increase the compressor surge
margin. The compressor bleed air
is re-ingested into the inlet to
heat the inlet air which increases
surge margin.
Additional benefits:
Anti-icing function when IGVs are
closed down
Emissions control for DLN for part
load operation

Gas skid exhaust fan differential pressure

Issue:
Unit trip due to low/loss of
differential pressure signal across
gas skid exhaust fan
Root cause:
During low temperature (below
freezing) the sensor or sensing
lines can freeze causing a loss of
pressure signal
Recommendation :
GE recommends upgrade to 3
pressure transmitters per
ventilation fan wired in the TMR
logic vs. the pressure switches
