Dear Madam/Sir,

I am writing with reference to the position of Programme Coordinator offered by the SIF. I found
out about this opportunity while looking for a chance for my professional and personal
advancement. I believe that the SIF can provide me with a great chance to acquaint myself with
the working environment of an immediate help in on-going crisis and to improve my abilities of
understanding how this kind of institutions operate.

As you can see from my CV, I hold a bachelor degree in International Relations and Master
degree in Politics and Economics of the South-Eastern Europe. I have always been interested in
international relations, intercultural connections, helping people in need, contributing to the
global well-being and other inter-nation linkers. In my opinion, it is of utmost importance to
participate in the on-going crisis with an aim of easing it in any way possible, even it if means
small changes. In this respect, my professional engagement was focused on two aspects- firstly
as intern in the Serbian Consulate General in Thessaloniki and secondly as project assistant on
the EU funded project implemented by the British council in Serbia.

In the Consulate General in I have dealt with numerous everyday tasks, but even with the
extraordinary ones- organising parliamentary elections abroad and diplomatic receptions. I
usually went through various media publications on a daily basis, wrote reports on the given
subject. In addition, I have been given the opportunity to write certain reports specifically for the
Foreign Ministry. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to witness the initiation procedure of
opening a regional chamber of commerce in Thessaloniki. I am convinced that both my
academical and practical knowledge of trade would be a great asset to your Team.

Also, during my engagement in the British Council on the EU project, I accommodated myself to
work in the environment that is under the umbrella of the European integrations. As networking,
in a sense of initiating and maintaining contacts is the core of the project that I currently work
on; any kind of communication would not be a problem for me in your department. Precious
knowledge and experience gained abroad and here while working in an international
environment would only facilitate my integration to your working conditions.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasise that my intention is to pursue career in the direction of
resolving the any aspect on the refuge crisis in the region. Hence, I believe that the announced
position would be a perfect occasion for me to learn more about engagement in this specific
field, as well as to improve my skills and knowledge. More than ever, I am convinced that every
single one of us should help in any manner possible to the refugee and migrants feel better,
healthier and safer.

I hope that my application shows that I have good basis for further progress and that I will be
chosen as an employee in the SIF.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours Faithfully,

Zorana Josi
