Accessing PolyMall
1. Whats PolyMall?
Developed jointly by Singapore's five polytechnics, PolyMall is your one-stop portal to access
online learning content across multiple sectors and disciplines. In PolyMall, you will be able
to access high quality learning resources at your fingertips for an engaging online learning
experience!

2. How do I access PolyMall?


Visit this link: https://polymall.polytechnic.edu.sg/
Click Polytechnic Staff and Students button.

3. Can I log in using my SPICE/Student ID and password?


No. You have to access PolyMall using your iChat email and password.

4. I have forgotten my iChat email ID. How do I find out what it is?
For staff, it is your SPICE email ID appended with @ichat.sp.edu.sg.
You can check your updated SPICE email ID by going to Outlook Address Book. E.g. if your
SPICE email ID is john_TAN@sp.edu.sg, you iChat email ID will be john_Tan@ichat.sp.edu.sg

For students, you can login to the student portal to find out your iChat email ID.

5. How do I reset my iChat email password?


Visit this link: https://idms.sp.edu.sg/

Next, locate this section at the bottom left of the webpage (as shown in the screenshot
below) and click the link provided. Subsequently, complete the online form to reset the
password.
6. What should I do when I encounter the following error message when logging into
PolyMall?

First check that the user is using the correct iChat email address to login (Refer to item 4).

If user is using correct iChat email address,


Option 1:
a. Close the browser and try again.
b. If that doesnt work, clear the entire browser cache, close browser and try again.
Option 2:
a. Use Chrome Incognito mode, or Firefox Private Window.

7. Do I need to access PolyMall through the VPN?


No, PolyMall is in the cloud, staff and students can directly access is without going through
the VPN.

8. Can I access PolyMall on my mobile devices?


Yes, you can access PolyMall on your mobile device using mobile browsers.

9. Can I enrol into modules that are outside of my course of study?
Yes, you are highly encouraged to explore modules outside of your course of study.

Nonetheless, you have to check Enrollment Eligibility in the Module Synopsis page to
ascertain whether you can enrol into the module.
10. Can I enrol into modules that belong to other Polytechnics?
Yes, please refer to the previous response above.

11. I want to enrol for modules listed under the Public Catalog. How can I do so?
You will need to login with your SingPass account to enrol for modules listed under the
Public Catalog. For FAQs on SingPass, please click here.

12. How do I know if I have successfully enrolled into a module?


There are a few locations where you can get this information.

a. After you log-in to the module catalogue page, you will be able to see the Enrolled label in
the module information image.

b. In the Module Synopsis page, you will see the Launch Course button instead of Login to
Enroll button.

c. After you log-in to the module catalogue page, click My Modules button located at the top
right of the page:
This will bring you to the landing page of the PolyMall learning environment where the
modules you are enrolled in will be listed.

13. What is the difference between Login to enrol, Enrol Me, Launch course, Not
Eligible and By Invitation only?
Login to Enrol: This only appears to users who have not yet logged into PolyMall. By clicking
this, the user will go through the Log In steps. After successfully logging in, the system will
automatically enrol the user if eligible, else it will display the Module Synopsis Page with the
appropriate ineligible button (By Invitation Only, Not Eligible).

Enrol Me: Users are eligible to enrol into the module, clicking it will automatically enrol the
user with no further prompt.

Launch Course: Users are already enrolled in the module, clicking the button will launch the
course directly.

Not Eligible: Users are not eligible to enrol based on their role. (e.g. Students are not eligible
to enrol in a Professional Development module)

By Invitation Only: This should only apply to certain PD modules, and users cannot enrol
themselves into the module.
