Re: Lathrop Homes Phase I

Dear Ms. Kenney,

I am writing to express my support for the application by Lathrop Community Partners (LCP) for low
cost financing to support Phase I of the redevelopment of Lathrop Homes. LCP, which is a
development team comprised of Related Midwest, Heartland Housing, and Bickerdike Redevelopment
Corporation, proposes to focus redevelopment activity in the first phase on the site to the north of
Diversey Avenue. Phase 1 will include the rehabilitation and historic preservation of 14 existing
buildings on the north side of the site that are currently vacant and will include the development of two
new construction buildings at the intersection of Diversey, Clybourn, and Damen.
