Advanced Generator Preventive Maintenance (Quarterly):

Lubrication: Electrical System:
1. Check engine crankcase oil level. 24. Check battery electrolyte.
2. Clean crankcase breather. 25. Clean terminals and check/adjust
3. Lubricate generator bearing – Front. connections for proper torque.
4. Lubricate generator bearing – Rear. 26. Check condition of battery(ies) and add
water as needed (if applicable).
Cooling System: 27. Inspect alternator drive belt.
5. Check engine coolant level. 28. Check shutoff controls.
6. Clean radiator core (external). 29. Inspect starter.
7. Inspect coolant connections and hoses 30. Check cold weather starting aids.
(tighten if loose). 31. Engine safety controls – check gauges and
8. Check fan/alternator belt tension and wear. switches.
9. Check cooling system inhibitor (DCA). 32. Control Panel – vacuum and clean.
10. Inspect coolant pump.
11. Check water jacket heater(s) for correct Switchgear & Emergency Source Feeders:

Fuel System: 36. Lubricate moving components when

15. Check fuel level in day tank. 37. Visually check engine mounts, tighten if
16. Inspect and test fuel level floats switches. loose
17. Inspect and test containment alarm. 38. Visually check integrity of entire unit.
18. Inspect and test transfer pump.

Air Induction & Exhaust:

19. Check air cleaner service indicator.
20. Check/Clean dust collector cap.
21. Inspect manifold and air piping for leaks.
22. Check all intake system hoses and
connections (tighten).
23. Open condensation drains.

Advanced Diesel Generator Preventive Maintenance (Annual):

In addition to all quarterly checks, the following additional checks are also performed…

39. Change crankcase oil.

40. Change oil filter(s).
41. Change fuel filter(s).
42. Change water filter(s).
43. Replace air filter(s) (if part of contract)
44. Sample oil and submit for analysis.

ƒ Preventive Maintenance Inspection Reports are mailed and emailed within 10 business days from date of inspection.
