The Attaka subsea development in Indonesia was the first of its kind in Asia for Chevron (Unocal) and included 8 subsea trees installed between 1981-1989. The trees were installed on wells 2-4 km offshore from host platforms in water depths around 60m and were connected via flowlines to the platforms. The project was a joint venture between Unocal and Inpex and helped develop the Attaka oil and gas field.
