REPORTING PERSON

Narrative We were notified by St.Petersburg Police Department van transport Officer Brainard that he had 6 male and 2 female arrestees that needed to be evaluated by medical for possible smoke inhalation, due to a bag of property igniting in the back of the transport van. Officer Brainard stated that he exited the transport van and extinguished the fire prior to entering the Central sallyport. Since the arrestees were not in our custody, 911 was activated by Officer Brainard at approximately 1432. All 8 arrestees were medically evaluated by St.Pete and Largo Fire Rescue and were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals by numerous Sunstar ambulances. Sgt. McFee and Lt.Taliaferro were notified and present during this incident. Six (6) photos were taken and attached.
