3.INTRODUCTION

Learning is a holistic process involving thinking, feeling, perceiving, and

behaving as individuals relate with past experience and ongoing interaction with
the world throughout their lives. What students learn about the world of work is
influenced by various intrinsic factors. Adolescence is a period of exploration,
when dreaming about and planning for the future emerges as an important
developmental task. Aspirations initially develop as vague representations of
possible future outcomes based on societal norms and parental expectations. A
global perspective, and many other critical skills that will help students find
success in whatever career path you choose.

4.Review of Literature:

Students aspirations, expectations and school achievement: what really

matters? an article written by Nabil Khattab using the Longitudinal Study of
Young People in England (LSYPE), this study examines how different combinations
of aspirations, expectations and school achievement can influence students
future educational behavior and in career . The study shows that students with
either high aspirations or high expectations have higher school achievement than
those with both low aspirations and low expectations. Furthermore, complete
alignment between high aspirations, high expectations and high achievement is
the most important predictor of future educational behavior among students.
However, it is also found that low expectations do not negatively impact students
future behavior when they have high aspirations accompanied with high school
achievement.

5.Research Design

5.1 Descriptive Type:

Descriptive research is effective to describe characteristics of a population

or phenomenon being studied. Designed to depict participants in an accurate
way .Innovative tool for researcher which presents an opportunity to fuse both
qualitative and quantitative data as a means to reconstruct the "what is" of a
topic.

6.Research Methodology

6.1 Purposive

Purposive Research Methodology is used in our research ,It is a non

probability sampling technique widely used in qualitative research for the
identification and selection of information-rich cases related to the phenomenon
of interest. Purposive sampling is one of the most cost-effective and time-
effective sampling methods available The importance of availability and
willingness to participate, and the ability to communicate experiences and
opinions in an articulate, expressive, and reflective manner. In contrast,
probabilistic or random sampling is used to ensure the generalizability of findings
by minimizing the potential for bias in selection.

In the research study we followed different criteria to understand the

aspirations of the students by conducting an Essay writing which gave us a
complete and deep understanding about their thinking abilities and zeal towards
a successful career. Identifying characteristics of a particular group is practically a
big challenge .
