La table ronde sera ddie ltude de la viabilit protohistorique, antique et

mdivale, thme qui, dernirement, a rencontr un grand intrt auprs de la
communaut scientifique. Rcemment, des monographies et diverses
rencontres scientifiques ont renouvel le dbat propos de la route, surtout
des voies romaines, sous diffrents points de vue : les aspects techniques et
matriels de sa construction, le rseau et la hirarchie, les stations et le
paysage routier.
Cette table ronde, en sinsrant dans le projet RecRoad - From Aquileia to
Singidunum, reconstructing the paths of the Roman travelers, propose
dapprofondir les trois thmes suivants :
1. La confrontation des sources historiques (pigraphie, sources littraires
et itinraires routiers) aux donnes de terrain.
2. Les nouvelles mthodologies dtude et leur vrification sur le terrain :
SIG, analyses spatiales, tldtection, photographies ariennes, LiDAR,
prospections gophysiques, photogrammtrie.
3. Les nouvelles mthodes et outils de publication et valorisation des
donnes : WebGIS et atlas en ligne, publications OpenAccess, divulgation
et mise en valeur auprs du public.
La table ronde se tiendra le mardi 15 Novembre 2016, la Maison de
lArchologie, Universit Bordeaux Montaigne, Bordeaux.
Cet vnement et la publication des actes sinscrivent dans le programme
dinnovation et recherche de lUnion Europenne Horizon 2020 - Bourse Marie
Skodowska-Curie grant agreement No 660763.

La strada antica e medievale:
nuovi approcci, nuovi strumenti

La tavola rotonda sar dedicata allo studio della viabilit protostorica, antica e
medievale, tema che, ultimamente, riscuote grande interesse da parte della
comunit scientifica. Di recente, sono stati pubblicati alcune monografie e si
sono svolti diversi convegni e incontri scientifici che hanno avuto come oggetto
di interesse la strada, soprattutto la via romana, sotto diversi punti di vista: gli
aspetti tecnici e materiali della sua costruzione, la rete e la gerarchizzazione dei
percorsi, il paesaggio stradale e le stazioni di sosta.
La tavola rotonda, inserendosi allinterno del progetto di ricerca RecRoad -
From Aquileia to Singidunum, reconstructing the paths of the Roman
travelers, vuole approfondire alcuni aspetti specifici, concentrandosi su tre
filoni:
1. Il confronto delle fonti storiche (epigrafia, fonti letterarie e itinerarie) con
i dati riscontrati sul campo.
2. Nuove metodologie di studio e loro verifica sul campo: GIS e analisi
spaziali, telerilevamento, aerofotointerpretazione, LiDAR, prospezioni
geofisiche, fotogrammetria, ...
3. Nuovi metodi e strumenti di pubblicazione e valorizzazione scientifica e
pubblica: WebGIS e atlanti online, pubblicazioni OpenAccess,
divulgazione e restituzione al pubblico.
La tavola rotonda si terr marted 15 Novembre 2016, presso la Maison de
lArchologie, Universit Bordeaux Montaigne, Bordeaux.

The ancient and medieval road:
new approaches, new tools

The round table will be devoted to the study of the protohistoric, ancient and
medieval routes: a theme that has lately met a great interest among the
scientific community. Recently, some new monographies and several scientific
conferences have renewed the discussion centered on the route, especially on
Roman roads, under different perspectives: technical aspects and construction
materials, road networks and their hierarchies, landscape and travel stations.
The round table, part of the project RecRoad - From Aquileia to Singidunum,
reconstructing the paths of the Roman travelers wants to deal with some
specific themes, specifically the three following subjects:
1. The comparison of the historical sources (epigraphy, literary and
itinerary sources) with the data observed on the ground.
2. New methods of study and verification of the results on the ground: GIS
and spatial analysis, remote sensing, aerial images interpretation, LiDAR,
geophysical prospections, photogrammetry,
3. New methods and tools for the publication and dissemination: WebGIS
and online atlases, OpenAccess pubblications, public communication.
The round table will take place on November 15, 2016 at Maison de
lArchologie, Universit Bordeaux Montaigne, in Bordeaux.
