Title - Bingo!!! - You Remembered To Write Your Name!

Undesirable Behavior: Students are turning in classwork and homework without their name on their
work. The teacher cannot know which students can demonstrate mastery of skill or concept taught.
Expected Behavior: All Work Completed with Name
Receive your homework and/or classwork
At the top of the page, put your first and last name on the paper
Write todays date at the top of the paper.
Put your student number next to your name.
Put your homework in the correct bin on the counter as you enter class the next day.
Put your classwork in the correct bin on the counter before you leave class today
Types of positive reinforcements:
1. Immediate R+ When every student turns in their classwork and homework with their name on it, one
marker goes on the class Bingo Card. Both the homework and classwork sets must have names - 80%
of class for week 1, 90% for week 2, and 100% until the BIngo Card is full.
2. Ongoing R+ Each time the class earns a row of five markers, the students will get to play one round
of multiplication bingo to start math class the following day.
3. Overall R+ Multiplication Bingo for an entire math period the next day.
4. Administering R+ Bingo markers will be put on the Classroom Bingo Card before the daily dismissal
routine. As students write in their planner, the I will check the homework and classwork for names and
select a student to put a sticker on the Classroom Bingo Card. When they earn five squares in a row,
they will celebrate by playing one round of Multiplication Bingo the next day.
Interactive Learning Activity: Students love to play the game Bingo and win prizes. It is a fun way for
students to master their multiplication facts up to 12. It is crucial in 4th grade for them to be able to
master math operations like multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. The game is accessible to
all students. In Multiplication Bingo, each student has a Bingo card with whole numbers on it between
0-144. The teacher draws cards with multiplication problems on it like 5x4 or 11x9. Students multiply in
their head (or on paper) and the teacher calls on a student to answer. Any student with that correct
answer on their Bingo card gets to cover that square with a marker. The first student with three squares
covered in a row wins the game. Each game can be started over and repeated. TEK - 4(F) recall facts to
multiply up to 10 by 10 with automaticity and recall the corresponding division facts;
Explain HOW you will Teach the Desired Behaviors: I will facilitate a discussion about the importance
of putting names on papers. I will have kept track of the previous two weeks and how many students
have forgotten to put their names on their papers each day and share that data with the class. Then, I
will ask the class Why is it important to put names on work? The class would then brainstorm ideas for
remembering to put their name on their work and make a class list of strategies on an anchor chart to
put on the classroom wall. I will hand out a practice worksheet and the class will practice writing their
name, date and student number on the paper. I will place a cup of highlighters by the turn in bins. The
class will practice highlighting their name as they turn their paper into the bin.
Explain HOW you will Teach the Plan: I will introduce the class to the Classroom Bingo Card and
explain that they will earn Bingo markers to cover the 25 spots on the card in order to earn a
Multiplication Bingo Day for the class. Individual square will be covered when each student has their
name on their classwork and homework for that day. Each class will have its own separate card.
Provide options: Other options include decimals or fractions bingo, or multiplication facts Jenga.
